Hello! My name is Dan Skinner. I was born and raised in Colorado. I have been living in Summit County since 2010 with my beautiful wife, the coolest dog, mellowest cat, and now newborn baby boy! I have been working as a handyman since I was 15 years old. I starting working in the industry as an apartment maintenance technician in Colorado Springs. After high school, I moved to Fort Collins and attended Colorado State University. During my time in College I worked for the school as an apartment maintenance technician. While working for CSU, I excelled at minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, drywall, and painting work. After years of living in Summit County, I've noticed the need for skilled labor. "Dan is a meticulous craftsman that not only does a great job with the physical aspects of remodeling, construction and general handyman tasks, but also a great eye and flare for colors, textures, materials and the various overall design and aesthetic aspects of a project. In 2008, Dan redid our laundry room area, replacing the old water damaged drywall and outdated shelves, it came out great. In 2009, Dan redid the better part of our whole kitchen area, he helped pick out new tile for the countertops and backsplash area and did a great job installing the tile, not only on the countertops and backsplash area, but also the floor. He also suggested moving the cabinets on the island area to add much needed space to our compact galley kitchen. He rehung the overhead cabinets to match the new countertop locations and installed a new range, sink and dishwasher. It looks fantastic and we have so much more room than we did before. He also replaced the old vinyl flooring in our front door foyer area with a beautiful slate floor that he helped us pick out. He stayed within our budget guidelines and finished in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend Dan for any remodel or handyman projects you might be planning."

"The outdoor floodlights that illuminate the sign over my shop in Vail have not been working for months. I really wanted to replace them and called a local electrician who never showed up to the appointment. That's when I was told that Dan might be able to help me. I sent him an e-mail and he was really quick in responding and was prompt to our appointment. He gave me an estimate on replacing the lights as well as fixing some damage to the sign itself and some other projects I eventually want to get done in my shop.
